Allan Toews

Allan began as a practising artist in Winnipeg, MB, where he graduated from the University of Manitoba, School of Art in 1972 and continued his practice in Winnipeg until 2004 when he moved to Victoria, BC, where he maintains a studio at Rock Bay Square, a old building catering to artist and artisans. Winnipeg, Toronto and Victoria are places where Allan’s art has been exhibited. Allan’s time

spent in Eastend was one of meeting and getting to know the locals and wandering around the landscape with his sketchbook, building up material and references for later paintings.
