Ann-Lise Norman
The motion apparent where the land and sky meet, or creeks and rivers reveal their hidden spaces, are depicted in oils or acrylic from painting outside in southern Alberta and Saskatchewan with the intent to capture the "voice" revealed by the land. The joy in painting and drawing is also explored by hosting a group of like-minded artists in the Southwest Saskatchewan Drawing Group that meets monthly in Shaunavon or Eastend to practice life drawing.
Ann-Lise Norman has participated and sold her work in juried exhibitions in southern Alberta at the Lebel Mansion and the Crowsnest Pass Gallery. In Saskatchewan, examples of her work can be found at Eastend's Blue Dog Cafe and the Silver Willow Gallery. She also frequents the local Art Walks and presents works at the Grand Coteau Heritage Cultural Centre in Shaunavon for the Christmas Art show.
