Building community through art

Eastend Arts Council is celebrating over thirty years of hosting artists at our historic Wallace Stegner House and offering arts programs to our community. Thanks to Eastend’s incredible support we have been able to host over 300 artists from all over the world and countless events and programs. Seriously, we’ve lost track of how many!

Every month our community has the opportunity to engage with a professional artist, when our latest artist-in-residence comes to town. Many of our residents fall in love with the place, captivated by the sky, the landscape, the people and beautiful old Stegner House.

Throughout the year, we host arts and culture programming, live music, lectures, open mike nights and school theatre programs.

Art enriches our lives and connects us.

The funds you donate go towards these programs, residency fees for artists and writers, operational and administrative costs, and maintenance and repair of Stegner House. (Little know fact: artist residency programs are not eligible for operational grants in Canada. Donations are incredibly important.)

As a registered charity, we will issue a charitable donation receipt for tax purposes.

Thanks for your continued support. It means the world to us.

In 2025, we replaced all the windows in Wallace Stegner House at a total cost of $60,000. The beautiful new windows help preserve the historic character of the home, while improving its energy efficiency and long-term integrity. If you would like to donate towards this project, please contact us.
