For 30 years Eastend Arts Council has operated Wallace Stegner House through donations from the small community of Eastend, SK (pop. 500) while hosting over 250 writers and artists from all over the world.

Few people realize that artist/writer residencies are not eligible for operational funding in Canada. Funds raised go towards subsidizing residency fees for artists and writers, covering operational and administrative costs, continuing programming for our community and beyond, and maintaining and repairing our Municipal Heritage Property, in order that we can continue operating this residency for the next thirty years and beyond.

Many of the volunteers currently serving Eastend Arts Council have been on the board for as many years as the board has existed. If you support the mission of Eastend Arts Council and you would like to make a donation, serve on the board, and/or volunteer in another capacity, we would be deeply grateful.

We continue to be humbled by the incredible support we receive and we look forward to many more years together.
