Trea Jensen
There are many familiar themes that run through Trea’s art. She explores the Moon, nature, iconic female deities, fairytales, ancient text, and hidden symbols. Folklore and symbolism of her mixed heritage all brought together to tell a story. The Land and Sky around Trea greatly inspires her art.
Trea is a multi disciplinary artist, expressing through visual art and music. She is a natural teacher and enjoys seeing people find joy while exploring different mediums. Watercolour and acrylic, are some of her favourite mediums. She is constantly learning and passing on her finds!
Trea is a guitarist, singer/songwriter and drum circle facilitator. Adding to her creativity is the practice of Energy Medicine. She is a Reiki Master/Practitioner, BodyTalk, Practioner, is learning the art of astrology, uses drum and singing bowls to add to ones healing journey as well as Oracle Card readings, and meditation. Trea grew up in Calgary AB , drawn by the beauty of the Cypress Hills and the Whitemud River Valley she has made Eastend, SK home since 2007.
Her participation in the arts community includes: Eastend Arts Council, Founder of A.G.E.S - Artisans Guild of Eastend & Surrounding Area(2008-2020), creating exhibitions and programming for Sask Culture Days, Artist in Community Sask Arts Grant with Eastend Historical Museum and her home as a large canvas to create many murals with her daughter NYWN.art
Trea has had the opportunity to participate in Artist Residencies and her art work can be found in England, Scandinavia and Canada.
