Karim Alrawi
Karim's plays have been produced in the UK, USA and Canada. He has had productions in London's West End and New York's off-Broadway. His plays have won several international awards including The Samuel Beckett Award for innovation in the performing arts and the John Whiting Award for British and Commonwealth writers.
He is the author of three children's books. One of which won a Parent's Magazine gold award. His novel Book of Sands won the inaugural HarperCollins Best New Fiction Prize and was published by them. It was a CBC Best Book of the Year. He has also written for radio and television. He taught creative writing at a number of universities in Canada and the US as well as the American University in Cairo, Egypt.
He lives in British Columbia with a view of the Salish Sea.
