Darla Tenold

The October resident is writer Darla Tenold from Saskatoon, SK. She has published in Spring Magazine and My Wedding Dress: True-life Tales of Lace, Laughter, Tears and Tulle.

Guy Vanderhaegh, one of her teachers, said of an early draft of her stories, “it was a courageous attempt to get at something deep and profound in human experience.” Rather than write stories that are human centred, which is the trend in modern literature, Darla’s goal is to write stories that are Life centred. 

During her residency, she will be working on a collection of literary short stories.
