Dominika Prejdova
Czech writer and scriptwriter, film critic and journalist, festival curator, programmer of Prague film festival Febiofest (2003-2007), film acquisitions specialist in arthouse distribution company Artcam (2008-2013), festival curator (Polish film festival Watch Docs), co-author and coordinator of the on-line distribution project Scope100, author of the novel Marijin dvor (2009, fiction based on a true story). The book was translated into Bosnian and published in Sarajevo (2018). Her second novel, Z čeho je den (2021) won Czech Book Club Literary Award in 2021. Co-author of the concept and script of the TV Prime series Black Daisies for CANAL+ (emission Januray 2025 in Poland and France). Participant of screenwriting workshops with Stephen Cleary (CANAL+ SeriesLab 2016-2017) , Nicola Lusuardi (CANAL+ and Torino SeriesLab 2018), and John Vorhaus (CANAL+ 2019). Alumna of Artist Residency Program at Ucross Foundation in 2024.
Currently working on a book on Wyoming photographer Lora Webb Nichols. Co-curator of the exhibition of Lora Webb Nichols’ photos in Wroclaw, Poland 2024. Born in Prague, based in Warsaw since 2011.
