Emily Bamforth is a paleontologist who works at the T. rex Discovery Centre in Eastend, SK. Emily first visited the town in 2007, spent five summers here as a graduate student, and moved here in 2014. Eastend, SK was Emily’s first small town experience and she loved it right away.

Emily was invited to join the EAC, and she thought it was a great way to get to know the community and meet some new people. She thought the concept of the Stegner House was really novel and enjoyed being able to give back to the community and supporting the arts.

The EAC keeps the spirit of the town vibrant. It celebrates one of Eastend's most famous residents, Wallace Stegner, and advocates for the things that Stegner advocated for - love of the land, the spirit of adventure through literature, and a need to protect the natural world.
