Deb Fletcher

Volunteer Since: August 1989

Deb Fletcher’s passion is to serve others. She has been a volunteer in various groups since she was young (many, many years). Deb has enjoyed her work as an educational assistant, managing an early learning centre and working in Long Term Care. Horses and farming in Eastend for 30 plus years....now retired to Lake life at the Landing but still on the Eastend Arts Council.

Deb started volunteering with EAC because she believes the arts are a vital part of any community. Even though she doesn't live in Eastend anymore, Deb is thankful that she can continue to help remotely.

An outstanding memory to Deb was the Writing the Land conference in 1994. It brought together many writers and interested persons from all over North America to have panel discussions on writing the land. EAC works hard to honour Wallace Stegner's legacy.
